Sometimes I would acquire a lot of files that would need to be sorted. So I created an automatic filing program that would rename certain files in a format, and rename it to a more suitable format.

IMG to HEX

My brother enjoyed working with hardware and some LEDs. So he had made a LED Picture Frame. It was pretty neat however there was one problem. Images needed to be converted into hexadecimal in order to display in all its glory. We also needed animation frames and data to be stored in code in Arduino. Naturally, I made some software to genrerate it prettily. This software supported gifs for animation! Here's a video of a converted gif on the LED matrix in action: with the source gif below:

ARI - Automated Reminder Intelligence

Back in 2013, being that I was always on the computer it was hard to keep track of time and what I needed to do. So I did what any developer would do. Developed a JARVIS -esque assistant that would help me remember things. This was back when Alexa and Google Home's were not available at the time so I took a stab at it myself: Unfortunately, speech recognition software was not quite as good as it is today so I would have to type in my input, however it would still respond back in a text-to-speech robot voice and give me that true JARVIS feel. It was a pretty cool project at the time. I was able to give myself reminders and set google calendar events. It was even able to play my local music and videos that I had stored on my computer by name. All I would need to type is "Play (SONG TITLE)" and off it went. It even texted me my reminders when I was away! Needless to say when the Amazon Alexas and Google Home's came out a few years later I felt like I missed th

Auto-Mate

This was a personal project made back in 2012. The basic functionality is that it featured recording user input on the computer and able to play it back in a loop or otherwise. While recording it could record the actual delay of the user input or typically for my typical use case just speed it up for faster processing of something repetitive that I was doing. Here is a demonstration of it recording my own input using MS Paint: And here is a demonstration of it playing that same thing recorded back and reducing each steps delay to 50ms. Notice how much faster it is! You can imagine the implications for even simpler tasks being sped up. This project wasn't limited to just mouse input, it also recorded keyboard input as well: If you're another developer, you may notice that the application is using SendKeys format. Streaming Avatar

This was a fun personal project. Basically for all of those video game streamers out there I've created software where they do not have to have a camera pointed at them. A custom avatar is shown instead. Audio is captured for mouth movement and the character/avatar keeps an eye on the cursor. LED Controller

This is a really cool project. It's basically an interface that was built to control LEDs that are hooked up to the computer. It is built to support multiple LED devices and is able to control the LEDs with all sorts of animations, effects, and any colors you can imagine! SMTP Module

I've written this simple module that is used to easily drop in e-mail notification functionality into any application. My original version of this utilized application settings on a .NET project however I found this really cumbersome to keep creating each SMTP setting per every project I've worked on. Especially since those cannot be easily copied. I typically use the same NOREPLY e-mail address for each project anyway so I've opted to use an "SMTP.cred" file that stores the e-mail credentials. With this module now I can just drop into the application's directory and also simply add in the module to get my SendEmail() subroutine. Be cautious using this as the SMTP.cred file is not encrypted and will be exposed as plain text. It is best to use this for applications in a managed server environment where the application directory cannot be reached from an average user. The SMTP.cred file will look like this (The variables can be specified in any order):
